Sun+SHINE: Barefoot in Tulum

A NuPower Yoga + Barre Retreat · September 1–6, 2027 · Amansala Eco-Chic Resort, Tulum Beach, Mexico

The studio doors may close, but our community keeps shining. Join NuPower founder Linda Fenelon for five nights of yoga, sunshine and sea air on the Caribbean. It’s our first time practicing together again.

About the Retreat

On November 28, 2026, NuPower Yoga + Barre held its final class on 8th Avenue. For nine years, that studio was a space of healing and connection, and the friendships made there don’t end when the doors close. Sun+SHINE is our first chance to roll out our mats with Linda again, this time with our toes in the sand.

Picture your mat a few steps from the Caribbean, the sound of waves under your practice, and nothing on your calendar except taking care of yourself.

For five nights we’re trading Nashville for the white sand of Tulum. Every morning starts with yoga. Days are for nourishing meals, the beach, a swim in a crystal-clear cenote and plenty of time to rest. Evenings are for good food and good company.

Sun+SHINE: Barefoot in Tulum is for every NuPower student, whether you’ve practiced with us for years or are just getting started. Come on your own, bring a friend or bring your partner. You’ll go home rested, restored and a little more connected, to yourself and to this community.

Your Guide: Linda Fenelon

Linda Fenelon founded NuPower Yoga + Barre and spent nine years building it, teaching in it and pouring her heart into our little corner of Nashville on 8th Avenue. In that time, more than 11,000 people came through the doors for more than 17,000 classes. What started as a yoga studio became, in her words, “a community of people who showed up for themselves and for one another.”

When the studio closed, Linda said she would carry this community with her into whatever comes next, and Sun+SHINE is where that begins. Every morning in Tulum she’ll lead our practice by the sea, just as she taught us to: with deep breaths, open hearts and a community that loves seeing each other SHINE. 💛

About Amansala

Amansala started in 2002 as a four-room pop-up on a wild stretch of Tulum beach. Today it’s one of Tulum’s best-known beachfront wellness resorts. Its name comes from Sanskrit: Aman means peace and Sala means place.

Amansala calls its style “barefoot luxury, eco-chic.” The rooms were made by local Mayan craftsmen from smooth cement, Mayan stone and centuries-old wooden columns. You’ll find organic cotton sheets, a farm-to-table kitchen and open-air shalas facing the sea, the jungle or the sky. The resort sits on Carretera Tulum–Boca Paila km 5.5 and is roughly an hour from Tulum International Airport.

For more than two decades, retreat leaders have brought their communities here. It’s a village-like resort with lounge areas, a beachfront dining deck and friendly staff, and it has even been featured in Taschen’s Great Yoga Retreats.

What’s Included

  • Airport transfer: we’ll meet you at the airport and bring you to the beach.
