Nasya is a Nose’s best friend

Nasya is the Ayurvedic practice of lubricating the nasal passageway with herb-infused oil.

Use to moisturize, clear & protect the nasal cavity, support the intake of prana, or breath, & promote mental clarity.

Nasya for Newbies:

The first option is the ‘finger in your nose’ style that your Mom told you not to do! This is a great for an on-the-go application. 

  • Put a few drops of nasya oil on your clean finger

  • Swab the oil inside the nostrils until they feel well lubricated. 

  • Do a little alternate nostril breathing to help move the oil and aroma upward into your sinuses.

Great for flying or when the heater gets turned on in your house or office.

Nasya Experts:

A deeper application of nasya oil into your nostril can have deeper therapeutic qualities.

  • Lying back on your bed with your head tipped off the edge. We like say “Like a Pez dispenser.”  

  • Drop 5 drops of oil directly into the nostril. 

  • Sniff a few times to bring the oil up into the sinuses. 

  • Keep your head tipped back for a minute to allow absorption in your sinuses

This method can be used daily or whenever you feel dry or stuffy.
