Three Day Fruit Feast

Thanks for joining me on these three days to set our body, mind and heart into living a little more consciously, cleanly, intentionally and joyfully before the holidays begin.

Physically

This intentional enjoyment of Earth’s bounty is a way to allow your body to fully empty out and get clean, giving you metabolic organs a hand to rest and renew themselves and release toxins.

Mentally

You’ll start to notice you’ll have more mental clarity. This also is a time to shift perspective from operating on cravings and habits- instead moving from a head space of “lack” to creativity and infinite possibilities.

Spiritually

Nourishing this vessel that houses our soul- our miraculous bodies- we can start to expand our awareness and blossom in gratitude

Fruits

The exciting news is fruits aren’t only the sweet ones that first come to mind, but actually all plants that have an outer skin and contain seeds.

Here are some of vegetables classified as fruits that are available:

Tomatoes  Avocados

Olives Peppers

Cucumbers Zucchini

Eggplants Squashes ( Yellow and pumpkins, butternut, ect.)

Peas String Beans

Okra Plantains

Prep Days

Day 1-

-Start to eat more cleanly and scale back on fatty foods, alcohol, sugar, dairy, caffeine and meats.

-Make a grocery list having fun coming up with new recipes or interesting combinations to try.

Day 2

-Shop for organic, clean produce.

-Chop and prepare anything that can be done ahead of time to be ready to go… perhaps taking time noticing the texture, colors and smells.

-Same cleaner eating as Sunday, and making meals smaller

3 Day Fasting

-Drink only water and herbal teas…no caffeine.

-Only have fresh juices rather than ones from concentrate in bottles.

-Herbs, vinegars and a small amount of oil can be used

-Take it easy, especially the first day

-Keep exercise light to moderate

-In the spirit of mindfulness, become aware of the atmosphere in which you eat.

-Try to take the time to arrange your meals beautifully on the plate, observe a moment of silence to give thanks…. sitting down to experience and enjoy the food you eat.

Fruit Feast-

Bring a fruit dish to share and have a communal feast after class Thursday March 21 where we can share our thoughts and observations about the experience.

Post Feast- Slowly start to add back in other vegetables and lean meats when you feel like you really want them.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Peace & Blessings, Sara
