Breathe to Be: Exploring Pranayama
In this workshop, you'll explore Pranayama breathing techniques to enhance mental clarity, reduce stress, and promote overall well-being. Learn how controlled breathing can support physical and emotional balance, helping you feel more centered and present in everyday life.
This 30 hour Yin Yoga training is designed to pack much of what a yogi needs to begin their study and facilitate yin practices.
Balance is a constant theme in the life journey and yin provides a wonderful flip-side to our faster pace vinyasa and/or busy western lifestyles. In this 30 hour yin training we will study meridian theory, postures, introduce TCM, help one cultivate a personal yin practice, and more.
This training includes a live + virtual class time (10 hours), outside reading (5 hours), articles/videos (2 hours) a practicum (3 hours) and required yin practice time (10 hours.)
Required reading / books: - Insight Yoga by Sarah Powers
Wood Becomes Water by Gail Reichstein
I. Read assigned books (5 hours)
II. Practice 10 hours of yin yoga (keep log; live in-studio or virtually)
III. Practicum (3 hours)
A. Teach 3 yin classes (privately/publicly/virtually)
B. 45-60 min length
C. Write up each class outline and feedback on how it went and participant feedback
IV. Attend 10 hours of live/virtual training classes V. Read articles and watch videos assigned (2 hours)
