Long-term anxiety can be difficult to manage in that it is sometimes mistaken for depression or lack of motivation.
While these might be symptoms, long-term anxiety is most often rooted in exhaustion. Exhaustion from worry, rumination, or the desire to (not very effectively) ignore it! It is best soothed and alleviated with consistency, compassion and an attentiveness to an empowered sense of wholeness.
