A Love Letter to Our Tribe
Dear Tribe,
Last night, a tornado ripped through our beautiful city and caused irreparable damage. Homes were destroyed, businesses were left in shambles, trees uprooted.
Beautiful lives were lost and many of our dear ones left injured.
We are heartbroken. We are mourning.
But we are together.
Nashville has a strong community of people who love deeply and give generously. Our first responders ran into the storm, warning people to take shelter. Wonderful people have opened up their homes and offered supplies.
While we are in the midst of tragedy and loss, there is hope.
After a night of raging storms and winds, we are standing in beautiful sunshine this morning.
After a night of lonely waiting and taking shelter, we are embracing and connecting.
After a night of loss, we are giving.
After a night of fear, there is hope.
Fear tells us that we must rebuild alone. This is a lie. You are loved by the NuPower Tribe. You are loved by Nashville. We will rebuild together.
The hope in me sees, honors and appreciates the hope in each one of you.
You are loved.
