DIY Cooling Waters to beat the Summer Heat

Pitta season is here…(aka Summer!)

We have stocked the studio with so many wonderful new Ayurveda products. Below find some simple summer recipes for cooling from our friends at Paavani. Perfect for during and after a NuPower Heated class!!

CILANTRO WATERMELON WATER

1 bunch of cilantro

1 small watermelon – remove the rind & cut into small pieces. 

Fit as much as you can into the jar, allowing space for the water & other ingredients

1 lime quartered & squeezed into water. (Add rind as well).

Add each ingredient to a 1/2 gallon mason jar full of water & let infuse until it has reached your desired taste. Strain, or leave fruit & herb in, & enjoy!

CUCUMBER ALOE WATER

1 cucumber sliced into 1/4 inch slices

1/4 cup aloe vera juice (juice of inner fillet is recommended)

1 lime quartered & squeezed into water. (Add rind as well).

1 bunch of fresh peppermint

Add each ingredient to a 1/2 gallon mason jar full of water & let infuse until it has reached your desired taste. Strain, or leave the herbs, fruit & veggies in, & enjoy!

HONEYSUCKLE LAVENDER WATER

1 bunch of fresh lavender

1 bunch of fresh honeysuckle

1 lemon quartered & squeezed into water. (Add rind as well).

Add each ingredient to a 1/2 gallon mason jar full of water & let infuse until it has reached your desired taste. Strain, or leave herbs & lemon in, & enjoy!

COOLING CUCUMBER WATER


1 cucumber sliced into 1/4 inch slices

1 lemon quartered & squeezed into water. (Add rind as well).

1 bunch of fresh spearmint

Add each ingredient to a 1/2 gallon mason jar full of water & let infuse until it has reached your desired taste. Strain, or leave herbs, fruit & veggies in, & enjoy!
