Running one of the best ways to burn calories and relieve stress. It is also incredibly hard on your body. All runners can benefit from a regular yoga practice. When added to a runner’s training plan, yoga offers so many benefits.

With so many kinds of yoga classes offered, it can be challenging to know where to begin as a runner. We are here to help!

Here are three types of yoga classes to incorporate into your running plan:

NuRestore

A combination of Yin Yoga holds to lengthen fascia and Restore Yoga poses because your body needs to reset restore and renew. Designed to soothe body mind and soul. Stop by after a long run to find balance and healing.

NuSculpt

By building muscle, you will increase your endurance and speed. Most running training programs call for 2-3 cross training days per week. NuSculpt is a perfect addition to your weekly routine. Our signature class is mix of strength training exercises with NuBells® enhanced with a powerful yoga flow so you can lengthen and strengthen your muscles. Expect to sweat and move. You can increase intensity or modify as your practice dictates. Cross train safely and in a fun way with us!

Slow+Silent

Running requires both letting go and intense focus. If you cannot lose yourself in the rhythm of the run, time will drag and you will lose motivation. If you lose your focus and let your mind wander too much, you will forgo your speed and intensity. One of the best ways to keep this balance is by practicing meditation. Our Slow+Silent class is a slow vinyasa flow followed by 30 minutes of seated, silent meditation. You will leave with clarity and focus.

Running requires you to take care of your body. You must pursue balance in order to remain healthy. By adding regular yoga classes to your schedule, you will see incredible results both mentally and physically.
